Slide Action present: Rebuilding the Trombone

Back in June 2022 we presented our new show Rebuilding the Trombone at the 2022 Aldeburgh Festival to a packed out Britten Studio.

This show consists of 4 newly commissioned from renowned British composers Ryan Latimer, Laura Jurd, Emily Hall and Alex Paxton, interspersed with interludes specially composed or arranged by the members of Slide Action to bring together the new works.

Rebuilding the Trombone has one vision - to help us discover a new voice for the trombone. Here’s an article in this summer’s British Trombone Society quarterly publication showing snapshots of the premiere (featuring SLIDE ACTION on the front cover!!):
