In 2018 she joined the Purcell School of Music on the George Drexler Scholarship where she studied with Brian Elias and Joseph Phibbs. In 2019 she was selected to be one of the composers in residence of the National Youth Orchestra where she had her pieces premiered at the Barbican centre. Since then she has worked with various UK based ensembles and has worked on projects with the Tate Modern where she had two works premiered to the public for the opening of the Boiler House.
Her piece Sirens for Harp and Orchestra was selected to be performed by the Purcell Symphony Orchestra and was one of the winning entries for the BBC Young Composer’s Competition 2020. In March 2021, Jasmine received a commission from the Solem Quartet for their nationwide six part concert series: Beethoven Bartok Now, where her piece, Hitogata for Quartet and Electronics will be performed this February in Blackheath Halls where she will be performing alongside the Solem Quartet, dancers and a string orchestra as part of a collaboration with Trinity Laban Conservatoire.
During the lockdown of 2020, Jasmine wrote an album called Astrophilia for viking ensemble, strings and vocals alongside Swedish musician Per Runberg who performed on the album. The album is going to be released by NonClassical.
In May 2021, Jasmine was the winning composer of the Royal College of Music Contemporary Music Competition with her piece for solo violin and electronics, Liquid History. This piece was commissioned by Nick Luscombe, as part of his project, Musicity which is a leading global agency for music and architecture.
Jasmine is one of 6 composers selected to be a Britten- Pears Young Artist. Her parade-style opera, a retelling of Orwell’s Animal Farm is commissioned to be performed in Snape Maltings for the Aldeburgh Music festival in the summer of 2022. She is currently writing music for the theatre company Wildcard on their production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest which will be performed at the Pleasance theatre in March 2022.
